I. POSITION OVERVIEW: Van Drivers are versatile employees that have great personalities, clean driving records, a ‘can-do’ attitude and are able to take on multiple roles as needed. Primary role of this professional driver is to ensure safe and timely transport of circus staff, talent and materials to and from assigned locations. The Van Driver must have a clean driving record, be able to effectively read and follow oral and written directions (i.e. travel packets, van schedules, road signage etc.) in order to appropriately navigate cities.

II. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Transport staff and talent to hotels, promotional activities or show locations. Additional non-transportation duties may be assigned as needed when on-site as show locations.

*Accurate completion and submission of daily and weekly van maintenance checklist as required, ensuring a professional presence at all times, including maintaining internal & external cleanliness of fleet van

*Willing to be flexible during shift work and provide round-trip transport to circus staff, including drop-off and pick-up from sites, hotels, stores, airport etc. as needed

*Assist in non-driver roles white on-site at show locations, additional responsibilities may include securing the perimeter,  assisting with set-up/tear-down and operation of concessions or other equipment/stations

III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High school Diploma or equivalent, must be at least 25 year of age to be insured by company insurance company

WORK EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience professional driving and one of which must include driving passengers. Possess a valid driver’s license for at least 5 years with a safe driving record with no moving violations within the last 3 years. 

Must provide professional references from past employers. A background check will be conducted along with alcohol/drug screening.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, CAPABILITIES:

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.  

Able to navigate unfamiliar towns/cities, adhering to all DOT regulations
