Summary                             
Under limited supervision performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of UniverSoul Circus (USC) vehicles and equipment; Ensure all vehicles operated by staff are free from out-of-service defects before they are allowed on the road; performs related work as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles and equipment including commercial vehicles, pick-ups,           straight trucks, passenger vans, bunkhouses, travel trailers, van trailers and flatbeds.
Repair vehicles and equipment prior to designating as operational.  Follow proper procedures to remove vehicles from operation when in need of service and/or repair.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment upon arrival to site or as designated and completes the Vehicle Inspection Report.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports including Vehicle Inspection Report and Site Repair Log.  All repairs must be documented on the Site Repair Log and submitted to supervisor weekly.
• Generate a repair list; research best value for parts and equipment needed.  Pick up parts              and/or work with corporate operations to order parts for delivery to site.
Follow proper procedures to cover expenses and “floats” including completing proper forms for payments and reimbursements.  Maintain and submit receipts as required documentation.
Drive and Maintain tool truck.


Minimum Qualifications
Within the last 10 years, five years of experience and/or training in vehicle – tractor trailor trucks, vans - repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Considerable knowledge of:
• Methods, materials, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs.
• Safety practices and procedures.
Working knowledge of:
• Paint and body work.
• Mechanical design and fabrication.
• Electrical systems, including computerized induction/ignition systems.

Skill in:
• Use of power and hand tools.
• Use of diagnostic equipment.
• Acetylene and electric arc welding.
• Operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
   and make repairs in the field on a 24-hour basis.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Work extended hours out of doors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and owners.
• Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers’ service specifications.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

• Work varying hours, weekends and holidays.
• Diagnose problems
Ability to be insured with company vehicle insured provider.

Follow proper procedure for expense advances and floats.
